Canigao Island, a hidden paradise that is luckily part of our Leyte Adventure. It’s small that you can walk around the island in less than 30 minutes. With fine white sand and a relaxing view of the main island across, you’ll surely have a wonderful time in this hidden paradise in Leyte.

There were only few people when we arrive so it felt like the island was OURS. We were really in awe of how beautiful the island was. I really recommend that you visit here if you’re in Leyte.

We stayed overnight. It was challenging because the island doesn’t have electricity. No available rooms for sleeping. We brought tents but I was so not comfortable lying down with the sand below. So it was my first time sleeping on a bench in an open cottage. God! It was so windy, it was so cold. But I survived. Only 2 hours of sleep. At least.

If you’re not as adventurous and as daring as I am, I do not recommend that you stay here overnight.
